I tried the codes and I tried to change the sidebar picture of the theme and it worked for me. I don’t know why it doesn’t on you. What I did was I uploaded a new sidebar on the “Appearance” section, let it finished to load then clicked “Save”, then waited for it to finish loading, and refreshed the customized page. And the sidebar picture changed. I suggest you to try it. If it still doesn’t work for you, come back here and I’d be really happy to help you!
